Boom Recorder in the Mac App Store

After some hard work Boom Recorder is now also available in the Mac AppStore. Apple requires applications to use modern APIs which is one of the reasons Boom Recorder is only for OS X 10.7 or later.

Boom Recorder is also still available through share-it! because of the many payment options it provides. Check out the store page for how to buy Boom Recorder.

Boom Recorder 8.0.0 released

The most visual difference in this new version are the vertical meters as you see in the screenshot below.

• Will only work on OS X 10.7 (Lion) or higher. Boom Recorder is now both 32 bit and 64 bit and can run in full screen mode.
• Adding "state" property to AppleScript, which you can poll to see if Boom Recorder is recording.
• Scrolling in the patch bay now works with a scroll wheel or using gestured.
• Meters can now be oriented vertically, and the channel name may be removed for more space.
• Meters now have a maximum peak indicator, which can be reset by clicking.
• Can record up to 256 channels.
